Stop Human Trafficking (SHUT) Foundation started it’s operation in Goma, Eastern Congo in 2016.
It is a grassroots organization, in conjunction with other NGOs we’re dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable in all areas which can improve their lives, thereby their communities, thereafter impact the whole society. Unfortunately, due to years of political instability, conflict from neighboring countries and different rebel groups, Eastern Congo is one of the most volatile regions of the world.
Though there are many challenges, we are from the region, so know much of what needs to be done to start making a difference in our society. We do not expect to change the whole society ourselves, however intend to start with a strong foundation, upon which future generations can build and create an impact in the great lakes region.
